When we think about workplace safety the first jobs that come to mind are those that are in traditionally dangerous industries. How often do we think about dangers to office workers? The National Safety Council says that employees are two and a half times more likely to suffer from a fall in an office setting than anywhere else! I had no idea!
Look around your office; are there boxes sitting in walkways? Are there any electrical cords that are not secured and covered? Do you have a step stool close by so you’re not tempted to grab your rolling office chair to reach an upper shelf? (No one would stand on a rolling chair, right?! You’d be surprised!)
