Immediate need for an exceptional Safety Professional to join our team in the Phoenix area.


HAZWOPER & OSHA General Industry Trainer/Consultant – Looking for a HAZWOPER subject matter expert with relevant work experience in the field as well as experience training new hires. The ideal candidate would also be an authorized OSHA General Industry (10 & 30-hour) trainer or have the relevant industry and safety experience to obtain the authorization and have experience performing site assessments and developing health and safety programs. Knowledge of RCRA, DOT and/or the Construction industry is a plus.

General – ETC’s Safety Professionals have two fundamental responsibilities. One is to be a dynamic and innovative educator (for adult learners) and the other is to serve ETC’s clients as a safety consultant in the Safety Professional’s area of regulatory compliance expertise.

Core Functions – The Safety Professional conducts regularly scheduled EHS training classes at ETC’s facilities in Phoenix and Tucson as well as at clients’ work sites around Arizona and occasionally in surrounding states. In the consulting realm, the Safety Professional visits the clients’ site and reviews, evaluates, and analyzes work environments for general site safety and EHS regulatory compliance. Depending on the clients’ needs, they may design policies and procedures to ensure adherence to EHS regulations; design programs to prevent disease or injury to workers and damage to the environment; or even act as an onsite safety manager for the duration of a project.

Requirements – Successful candidates will have real-world experience (7+ years) in their field(s) of expertise, be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision, have an innovative and interactive approach to teaching (2+ years), be an effective communicator, and be proficient in/with Microsoft Word & PowerPoint. Expertise in multiple regulatory areas and/or bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
