OSHA Outreach for Construction & General Industry

30-hr OSHA Outreach Class

These courses are designed for individuals responsible for implementing, managing and enforcing workplace safety efforts. Class curriculum provides a detailed, cross-referenced awareness of OSHA standards and their job site implementation. Topics include: regulatory requirements; safety / health / environmental controls; personal protective equipment; materials handling; fire prevention; hand and portable power tools; electrical safety and more.

10-hr OSHA Outreach Class

These courses cover safety and health topics for entry-level participants. Curriculum subjects cover health and safety provisions of OSHA’s General Duty Clause to inform employees of roles and responsibilities of both employee and employer in workplace hazard recognition, risk management, accident prevention and record keeping.

HAZWOPER Training

Who needs HAZWOPER Training?

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ruled that people must be HAZWOPER trained if they work with, or are around, hazardous wastes. The purpose of the training is to make sure that people are as safe as possible when potential or actual contact with hazardous wastes is likely.

How Much Training is Needed?

40-hour HAZWOPER is for the General Site Worker and is the most comprehensive training and what most people need. Training is usually conducted over 5 days (8 hours each day).

24-hour HAZWOPER is only for occasional site workers who have very limited contact with hazardous wastes. The main difference between the 24 and 40-hour courses is that the 24-hour training student should not be involved in activities where respirators are required.

8-hour HAZWOPER Annual Refresher training is recommended for those who have already taken the 40-hour or 24-hour training and wish to remain HAZWOPER qualified.

Emergency Response Training

From First Responder Awareness and Operations Level, to Hazmat Technician or On-Scene Incident Commander, our HAZWOPER safety professionals can use your existing site / facility emergency response plans to provide all of the required emergency response training as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.120(q). If you don’t have an emergency response plan, we can help you develop one.
