A safety audit is a walkthrough and records review that checks your site against the OSHA and ADOSH standards that apply to you. ETC runs it the way an inspector would, then hands you a prioritized list of hazards, missing programs and training gaps, with the fixes we can deliver and the ones your team can handle.
Schedule a mock inspection before ADOSH does one. Call (602) 923-9673.
Find it before an inspector does
An inspector does not care that the guard came off last week or that the new hires started on Monday. They cite what they see on the day they walk in. Our audit shows you that day in advance, while every finding is still a to-do item and not a penalty.
What we check
Physical hazards on the floor
We start where inspectors start. OSHA’s most frequently cited standards are led year after year by fall protection, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, scaffolding and ladders, with powered industrial trucks and machine guarding close behind. Our consultants walk your floor with that list in hand:
- Fall exposures, ladders, scaffolds and elevated work
- Machine guarding and points of operation
- Lockout/tagout during servicing and maintenance
- Chemical storage, labels and safety data sheets
- Forklifts, pallet jacks and pedestrian traffic
- Electrical hazards, PPE and housekeeping
Written programs
A program that sits in a binder but does not match the work is a citation waiting to happen. We check which OSHA-required written programs your site needs and whether each one reflects how your crews actually work today.
Training records and OSHA 300 logs
As far as an inspector is concerned, training you cannot prove never happened. We review cards, certificates, refresher dates and your OSHA injury and illness records, then flag who is overdue, who is missing a card and where the log has errors. If we find gaps, we close them in our OSHA training classes or on your site.
Mock inspection or consultation audit
We run the audit in one of two formats. On the scoping call we recommend the one that fits what is driving your audit.
The mock format follows the same steps an inspector takes, from the opening conference to the closing talk. Your supervisors get a full rehearsal before the real visit.
Free ADOSH consultation or a private audit?
Both are good options, and the right one depends on your timeline. ADOSH runs a free, confidential consultation program for Arizona employers. Its consultants do not issue citations, but you must fix the hazards they find within an agreed timeframe. If budget is your main constraint and you have time, you can request an ADOSH consultation directly.
A private ETC audit is the better fit when:
- You have a date to hit. A client audit, a contract start or an inspection you expect. You set the audit date with us.
- You want everything in one pass. Hazards, training records and written programs in a single visit and a single report.
- You want the fixes too. The team that finds the gap can train your crew and write the missing program.
What you get: a report you can act on
Every audit ends with a written report sorted by urgency, so you know what to fix today and what can wait for next month’s budget.
- Fix now: hazards that could hurt someone or draw a serious citation
- Fix this month: missing or outdated programs, overdue training
- Plan: improvements to schedule over the coming quarter
Each finding comes with the standard behind it, photos from your site and a clear owner: your maintenance team, or ETC through training or a written program.
How an audit works
- Scoping call. We learn your site, your work and any deadline, then confirm the format and the date.
- Document request. You send programs, training records and OSHA logs ahead of the visit.
- Site visit. Our consultant walks the floor, watches the work and reviews the records.
- Closing meeting. You hear the main findings before we leave the site.
- Report. You receive the prioritized fix list with standards and photos.
- Follow-up. We schedule the training and program work you want us to take on.

FAQs
Will the audit be reported to ADOSH?
No. ETC is a private consultancy and we do not share your findings with ADOSH. The report belongs to you.
How long does an audit take?
It depends on the size of your site and how many shifts and processes we need to see. You get the on-site time and the report date on the scoping call, before you commit.
What does the report include?
Every finding, the OSHA or ADOSH standard behind it, photos and a priority level: fix now, fix this month or plan. It also shows which fixes ETC can deliver for you.
Can you audit more than one site?
Yes. We schedule several sites back to back and use one report format across all of them, so you can compare sites side by side.
What happens if you find a serious hazard during the visit?
We stop and tell your site lead right away. You never wait for the report to hear about a hazard that could hurt someone today.
