ETC understands the business owner’s perspective and the often difficult task of doing the right thing while managing the bottom line. Our experience across diverse industries, both public and private, gives us the tools to efficiently assess your environmental, health and safety compliance issues and to recommend an appropriate plan of action to achieve your company’s goals, get the job done right, on time and within budget.
If you find some unchecked boxes while assessing your safety program, here are some of the ways we can help you check them off:
Site Safety Inspection
A safety inspection is “a comprehensive survey of all or part of a workplace in order to detect safety and health hazards.” (osha.gov) Once an ETC safety professional has visited your site and identified hazards, a written report is developed that outlines the potential risks and makes recommendations to minimize or eliminate them.
Site Safety Audit & Training Needs Assessment
A safety audit evaluates a company’s Safety Program and related practices for efficiency, effectiveness and reliability. Audits are conducted by reviewing documentation (safety manual, OSHA 300 logs, training records, etc.), interviewing a variety of personnel and observing the workplace. The results of an audit will assist you in correcting hazards and determining what actions to take to achieve your desired safety goals.
Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Also known as a Job Safety Analysis (JSA), a JHA is a technique used to identify the hazards of a specific job or process and makes recommendations to minimize or eliminate the hazards. A JHA can be helpful when investigating accidents and training workers on how to safely perform their jobs.
Safety Manual
Your company’s safety manual should not be sitting on a shelf collecting dust. A quality safety manual should not be generic; it should contain valuable information that addresses your specific work environment and the regulatory agencies that govern your operations. ETC reviews, updates or develops a company-specific safety manual to provide the foundation and guide for a safety and training program that will promote safety as a value and qualify your company to bid on high-level contracts.
Emergency Procedure Guide
An Emergency Procedure Guide contains essential information that your employees need when faced with an emergency. These guides are customized for your company, contain emergency contact names and numbers in an easy to use format that is durable and easily visible.
Safety/Environmental Management Services
If your organization values safety and environmental responsibility, yet lacks the budgetary resources for a full-time safety/environmental professional, we may have the answer you’ve been looking for. Our Safety/Environmental Management Services program is designed to assist organizations in developing and maintaining a high level of safety and environmental awareness. One of our safety professionals will conduct a preliminary site visit, then work with you to develop a detailed plan of action. The plan may require the services of an ETC safety professional a few hours a month or several days a week depending on the amount of work needed to attain compliance, fill the gaps or to boost your company’s safety program to the next level.
Training Options & Documentation
ETC offers a wide variety of Open Enrollment classes in Phoenix and Tucson or can customize onsite training to fulfill your company-specific training requirements. Documentation of training is provided for your records.
